Here's exactly what Artisan Invoice collects, what we do with it, and how to take it with you the day you decide to leave.

What we collect
We collect the account information you give us (name, email, business name), the invoices and clients you create, and basic device info needed to keep Artisan Invoice fast and secure. We never sell your data.
Payment data
When a client pays an invoice through Stripe or PayPal, the payment is handled entirely by those processors. Artisan Invoice never sees or stores card numbers. We store only the payment status and a tokenized reference returned by the processor.
Emails and reminders
Artisan Invoice sends transactional emails on your behalf: invoice delivery, reminders you configure, and receipts. You can pause reminders at any time from your dashboard.
Cookies
We use a small set of cookies for session management, keeping you signed in, and understanding which features get used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Third-party services
Artisan Invoice relies on a small, vetted set of providers: Convex for the database, Stripe and PayPal for payments, and an email delivery provider for transactional messages. Each of these handles its own slice of data under their own privacy terms.
Your rights
You can export every invoice, contact and payment record at any time from your dashboard as PDF or CSV. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete account. EU and UK users have full GDPR rights; California residents can exercise CCPA rights the same way.
Retention and security
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, plus 90 days after deletion for accidental deletion recovery, and then it is permanently erased. All traffic is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production data is limited to a small set of named engineers.
